Journey to Winter-home, the new update to The Lord of the Rings Online will unfortunately not be deployed to the European service next week as originally anticipated.

We are expecting delivery of the new build next Tuesday and therefore until we have had the opportunity to test and verify the new code we won't be able to firm up any launch dates. Assuming there are no critical problems with the EU version, we are tentatively targeting a 7th December launch date. As soon as there is any news, we'll update you.

Update 1 and weekly scheduled maintenance03-Dec-2010On Tuesday 7th December the LOTRO Europe servers will be coming down for maintenance so that Update 1: Journey to Winter-home can be applied to the servers. Maintenance for Tuesday will take place between 08.00 and 15.00 UK Time (GMT) - so please do not try to log into the game during this time.

Weekly scheduled maintenance will also take place as normal on Thursday 9th December. This is required due to extra background work that is taking place at our data centres and on the Codemasters Online Player Accounts site at www.codemasters.com/cog to increase capacity and resilience.

During this time, players will be unable to create or amend game subscriptions, purchase Premium Services, create new forum accounts, access the knowledgebase or access the LOTRO Lorebook.

Maintenance on Thursday will take place between 07.00 and 15.00 UK Time (GMT) - so please do not try to log into the game or into your account during this time. The maintenance on Tuesday is subject to successful testing throughout the weekend and the build being approved for release the Green Light for Update 1 on Monday.
